REPEAT MEDICATION

Based in Penryn, Cornish Paws is a new family run independent veterinary practice. We offer complete health care to all domestic animals to an exceptionally high standard. As vets with over 12 years of experience we are here for you and your pets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Practice Facilities

Parking
Situated off the large car park for Penryn Rugby Club, we offer a huge amount of free parking directly outside the practice for all of our routine opening hours. When required, out of hours, there are 3 dedicated spaces directly outside the vets practice which will always be available for our clients.

Courtyard
With a large contained courtyard outside the practice we encourage any patients who might prefer to wait for appointments outside the practice to use this facility. We find it really helpful for any nervous dogs and we are even happy to offer outside consultations where appropriate.

Waiting room
We have a large waiting room and we ask all owners to respect the separate canine and feline waiting areas, in order to minimise stress for feline patients who generally don’t like to wait next to the more bouncy dogs.

Disabled access
Our practice has full disabled access including a disabled toilet.

Our Patients

“We lost our cat very suddenly last week due to cancer. The team at Cornish Paws were fantastic in her final days and hours. We were especially grateful to be with her during her final moments as she passed. Thank you Matt for making that possible. So much compassion and respect from all of the team during this really difficult. Have today received a card through the post from the team which was just above and beyond. You can really tell that this is a family run practice due to the personal touches.
Thank you and am so glad we found you.”

“Having recently moved back to the area, we went online to look for a vet for our dog. After getting dozens of recommendations, we went with Cornish Paws, and everyone was correct! Their personal approach is not only reassuring, it gives you the confidence that your pet is being given the best care possible. They call back when they say they will (something our last vet didn't manage in almost 10 years) and you never have to remind them what you have spoken about. Can't recommend them enough.”

Stuart Hubbard
“Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to looking after your pets. Matt will turn up out-of-hours and he was excellent in sorting out my very ill (and quite old) Border Terrier who is now fighting fit again. I have two dogs and mostly, fortunately, I only need routine stuff (boosters, flea and worm treatments etc.) but everyone is super friendly, helpful and make every
visit very easy”

About me

“In 2007 I graduated from Liverpool University as a veterinary surgeon and moved to Cornwall, where I have lived and worked ever since. On my first day in my new job, I re-homed Timber, a very nervous border collie. Many pets followed, but it was Timber who first taught me how best to care for nervous patients, a topic that I will always be passionate about. Now with the support of my vet nurse wife, and our young family, we are very excited to open our own small animal veterinary practice. So, with our total focus on the highest standard of care and happy patients, we welcome you to Cornish Paws.”
